Standing Start was created to give hope to those SCI patients who dream of recovery. Through intense exercise based therapy programmes, a much improved quality of life can be achieved by encouragement, eductation, support and self belief.

Stapleford Shotokan Karate Club

On Saturday 10th November 2007, Stapleford Shotokan Karate Club held a self-defence training day to raise funds for Standing Start / Project Walk. There were over 40 people young and old who had a fun day learning new methods of self defence and the event raised over £450. Thanks to Dave and Steve for organising the event and their hard work as well as all the other instructors who came along
